RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks Urgently Seeking Cat Fosterers
The RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks branch is urgently appealing for fosterers to care for cats and kittens in need.
This week has been particularly challenging, with three cats arriving at the branch, all having given birth in unsafe environments. Tragically, one cat felt that a skip was the safest place to give birth. The branch is stretched to capacity, with more cats waiting for rescue, but there's simply no space left.
The lack of neutering and microchipping is making the situation even worse. Despite it becoming a legal requirement in June 2024, none of the cats rescued this week were microchipped, and their situations could have been avoided if owners had neutered their pets.
Fostering provides a safe and loving environment for these vulnerable animals until they can be rehomed. If you're an animal lover and can help by fostering, the RSPCA would love to hear from you. More details can be found on their Volunteering page: RSPCA Milton Keynes Fostering.
Your support is crucial. Without the help of the local community, the RSPCA cannot continue to provide the care these animals desperately need. Please consider opening your home to a cat or kitten in need.
