Hannah Ingram-Moore Releases Powerful Debut Book on Grief
Hannah Ingram-Moore is set to release her deeply moving debut book, Grief: Public Face, Private Loss, on 7th March 2025. The book provides a raw and heartfelt exploration of grief, blending personal experiences with practical guidance to help others navigate loss.
Hannah, the daughter of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore, shares her deeply personal journey through grief, reflecting on both public and private mourning. Through a mix of personal reflections and practical tools, the book delves into the complexities of loss, addressing societal pressures while also honouring love and resilience.
“This book is for anyone who has felt the burden of grief but struggled to express it,” says Hannah. “Losing my father publicly while privately mourning my mother showed me the deeply personal nature of grief and the importance of discussing it. My hope is that this book offers comfort, connection, and reassurance that even in loss, there is room for healing and hope.”
With candid storytelling and thoughtful strategies, Grief: Public Face, Private Loss serves as a compassionate companion for those experiencing bereavement. It challenges common misconceptions about grief, examines the struggle of balancing public and private mourning, and offers actionable steps to help readers integrate their loss into daily life—without the pressure to simply “move on.”
Hannah Ingram-Moore is a business leader and speaker with a background in brand development and leadership across multiple industries. Her career has given her a deep understanding of resilience, adaptability, and the power of human connection. However, it is her personal experiences of loss that have shaped her most profoundly, teaching her the value of vulnerability and the strength required to honour the past while moving forward.
In the book, Hannah shares powerful insights and raw emotions, including the challenges of announcing her father’s passing to the world while simply wanting to grieve as a daughter. She also opens up about the painful experience of “living grief” while watching her mother battle dementia, mourning her long before she passed away.
“There are moments when the past reaches out and taps you on the shoulder, whispering memories that can suddenly pull you back into the depths of your grief,” Hannah writes in one passage. “Perhaps you’re driving down a familiar road when a song on the radio transports you to a time now gone, a time when everything felt whole. These triggers, those unexpected reminders of what you’ve lost, can ambush you without warning.”
With the book set to release in hardback, paperback, eBook, and soon in audio format, Hannah hopes to offer readers reassurance and solidarity in their own journeys through grief.
Grief: Public Face, Private Loss will be available on Amazon from 7th March 2025.
